Summer 2017. Just this one case made the difficult journey to Kasos worthwhile for me, for equine vet Kleopatra, and for the star of this particular show, farrier extraordinaire, Giannis Brastianos.

When we first spotted this poor girl, lying in a field above Ammoua, she didn’t get up as we approached and Kleo became concerned. When we got closer and she finally made the effort to stand, all became clear. Who would want to try and walk in THOSE SHOES? Thankfully, half an hour later, having benefitted from the skills of Giannis, she was trotting off to join her two friends in the field above… with a bit of a spring in her step!
