Led by the Eurogroup for Animals, the Companion Animal Campaign, will be a six month campaign to call for the European Commission to take action to improve the welfare of companion animals – cats, dogs and equines.

Starting in June and run principally via Instagram, the campaign will seek to build momentum by encouraging citizens to participate by posting pictures of their own companion animals.

Eurogroup for Animals will be providing campaign materials and a hub page on their website, which will serve as the main ‘landing page’ for the campaign.

Campaign objective:

The campaign will culminate with supporters presenting Vytenis Andriukaitis, European Commissioner for Health & Food Safety, with a huge collection of pictures inside a large frame. This will be a visual embodiment of the grass roots support for action to improve the welfare of companion animals.
