Right before the end of 2017 we would like to share with you some recent photos from our Equine Team’s very first visit to Mount Olympus – seat of the ancient gods of Greek myth and legend!

A couple of weeks ago Michael, our vet, and Giannis, our farrier, visited the villages of Litochoro and Karitsa, where they treated 39 equids. Most of the animals they saw were facing significant dental and farriery issues, and the most serious case was that of a mule suffering from a severely cracked hoof. Thankfully, Giannis has a little, mobile forge that can sit in the back of a van, so he had with him everything he needed to repair and stabilize the hoof!
